Nigerian businessman Blord has sparked widespread reactions online following fresh comments about his marriage to his wife, Francisca.
In a recent interview, the entrepreneur revealed that he did not go through the conventional route of proposing on one knee before marriage, a gesture widely embraced by many modern couples.
According to him, the relationship progressed into marriage without any formal engagement ceremony.
“I didn’t propose to my wife,” he stated, making it clear that their love story did not follow the popular script.
Blord also stirred further debate when he compared marriage customs, noting that his wife’s family did not place heavy financial demands on him during the traditional marriage process.
Describing it in blunt terms, he said, “Their people are very cheap. They didn’t charge like Imo State people.”
He further added that instead of imposing financial pressure, his wife’s family even supported the wedding arrangements.
“My wife’s people even contributed to the marriage,” he disclosed.
In a separate revelation, Blord spoke about the shift in affection from his wife, Francisca, explaining why she no longer expresses romance the way she used to.
He attributed the change to his own personality, admitting that he has always been reserved and uncomfortable with public displays of affection, which eventually affected how his wife responded emotionally in the relationship.
According to him, she initially made efforts to be more romantic, but gradually stopped after not receiving similar energy in return.
