Popular content creator Untouchable Comedies has raised awareness online after a fire incident in his home, which he said was caused by a power bank.
The comedian took to his social media page to share the experience, warning followers to be careful when using portable charging devices, especially while sleeping.
According to him, the incident happened around 5 a.m. and caused damage to one of the chairs in his house.
In the video shared online, part of the chair could be seen badly burnt, allegedly from the power bank incident.
Speaking on the situation, Untouchable Comedies said:
“Guys I’m creating this awareness because this is what happened in my house. I don’t know who need to hear it and I need to say it out. Make everybody dey careful, na God save me from this one.”
He urged the public to pay attention to the dangers of keeping power banks too close while asleep.
“Please for those of you using power banks. Be careful, don’t always keep it close to you when you are sleeping. This happened in my house around 5 am. My chair bûrnt down because of power bank. Guys be very careful….”
The video has since attracted reactions online, with many users thanking him for the warning and sharing similar safety concerns about charging devices at home.
