A Nigerian man has reportedly removed a gate he installed at a compound after allegedly receiving a quit notice from the landlord.
The story was shared by X user @oneman_official, who recounted the unusual incident involving a man living in the neighbouring compound.
‘He Installed the Gate by Himself’
According to the post, the man moved into the compound at a time when it did not have a gate.
The X user explained that the man later installed a gate himself because he had children and owned a car.
“He moved in when the compound doesn’t have gate yet,” the post read.
“He installed gate by himself because of his kids and because he has a car.”
‘They Gave Him Quit Notice’
The situation reportedly changed after the man was given a quit notice.
According to @oneman_official, the man subsequently moved out of the compound.
“They gave him Quit notice! He moved out and came back last night,” the X user wrote.
‘He Broke the Fence and Took His Gate’
The man reportedly returned to the compound after moving out and removed the gate he had previously installed.
“He broke the fence and took his gate,” the post stated.
The unusual incident has since sparked reactions online, with social media users sharing different views on whether the man was justified in taking the gate he had installed himself.
