Newly confirmed Power Minister outlines 5 priorities for constant electricity in Nigeria

Joseph Tegbe, recently confirmed Minister of Power has reeled out five priorities to ensure stable electricity supply across the nation.

DAILY POST reports that the Senate on Wednesday confirmed Tegbe as the new Power Minister following the resignation of Adebayo Adelabu.

Adelabu had on April 22, resign his position in the Federal Government to pursue his governorship ambition in Oyo State.

In a statement on Thursday, the new Minister listed improved gas supply, grid infrastructure and others as his priorities to enhance power supply.

According to him, the administration would, “Enhance gas supply to boost power generation capacity

“Improve grid infrastructure to enhance reliability and reduce outage.

“Implement accountability measures in distribution companies.

“Enhance the rollout of meters to customers and restore financial reliability across the sector.”
