The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NGX) on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, closed the trading session with a total of 1,566,588,005 shares exchanged in 76,431 deals, with a market value of N91.6 billion recorded, news.ng reports.
Compared with Tuesday’s trading, there was a 26% improvement in volume, turnover jumped by 32%, while deals declined by 5%.
The current market capitalisation stood at N162.1 trillion (USD 118 billion).
Details further revealed that out of the 133 listed equities that participated in Wednesday’s trading, 39 stocks recorded gains, while 29 lost.
Among the gainers, Berger Paints recorded a 17.29% rise in share price, closing at N140.10 per share, followed by Fidson Healthcare, which recorded a 10% increase in share price to close at N113.30 per share.
Also, Computer Warehouse Group’s share price rose by 10% to close at N23.10 per share, followed by Livestock Feeds, which recorded a 10% appreciation in its share price, closing the day at N10.45 per share.
On the losing side, NCR Nigeria recorded the highest loss, with a 10% decline in share price to close at N179.10 per share, followed by Cornerstone Insurance Company, which lost 10% in share price to close at N5.40 per share.
Others include Zichis Agro Allied Industries, which lost 9.89% in share price to close at N36.36 per share, while Neimeth International Pharma recorded a 9.66% loss in share price to close at N10.75 per share.
First HoldCo recorded the highest volume of traded shares at 564 million, followed by Access Holdings with 105 million shares traded, while Fidelity Bank and Wema Bank recorded 96 million and 70 million shares traded, respectively.
