Young Nigerian mathematics sensation Egejurum Onyedikachi has achieved a remarkable feat after emerging as the world’s best in the Mathematics Primary Category at the International STEM Olympiad Grand Final held in Rome.
The pupil’s outstanding performance has attracted widespread admiration from Nigerians, who have praised his intelligence, dedication and determination to succeed despite challenges along the way.
The prestigious competition brought together talented young students from various countries, with participants competing in mathematics, critical thinking and problem-solving tasks designed to test their academic abilities.
Reflecting on his experience at the global event, Onyedikachi revealed that his journey to victory was not without difficulties. He explained that although the beginning of the competition was challenging, he stayed determined and refused to give up.
“It went well, at least I’m happy at the end. Although at the beginning it was kind of rough, I didn’t cry, I was just sad. But at the ending I came victorious and brought home a gold medal to Nigeria,” he said.
His story has inspired many people, with several Nigerians celebrating his resilience and ability to overcome obstacles on his path to success.
