NIPR, FRSC to deepen partnership on capacity building

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and the Federal Road Safety Corps have agreed to strengthen their collaboration through staff training, professional development and knowledge exchange to improve public service delivery.

The agreement was reached during a courtesy visit by the President and Chairman of Council of the NIPR, Dr Ike Neliaku, to the Corps Marshal of the FRSC, Shehu Mohammed, in Abuja.

Neliaku commended the FRSC for its digital transformation and strategic reforms, describing the achievements as evidence of visionary leadership and commitment to service delivery.

He said the Corps’ digital initiatives had improved operational efficiency, enhanced service delivery and strengthened public confidence in the organisation.

According to him, the institute is committed to supporting the FRSC through professional training, executive development and capacity-building programmes.

“The achievements recorded by the Corps clearly demonstrate visionary leadership, innovation and commitment to service excellence,” Neliaku said.

He added that the proposed partnership would promote professionalism, ethical standards and effective communication across all levels of the Corps.

Responding, Mohammed thanked the NIPR leadership for recognising the progress made by the Corps and reaffirmed his commitment to professionalism and continuous learning.

He said strategic communication and capacity building remained central to his vision of building a more responsive and globally respected road safety institution.

The Corps Marshal described the proposed collaboration as a strategic investment in human capital that would equip personnel with the knowledge and skills required to address emerging challenges in public service.

At the end of the meeting, both organisations agreed to establish a framework for sustained collaboration focusing on staff training, professional certification, knowledge exchange and other initiatives aimed at improving institutional performance and service delivery.
