Fashion entrepreneur and socialite Sophia Momodu has expressed her frustration over what she described as the constant effort by fans to link her life and activities to Afrobeats star Davido.
In a video clip from a recent live session that surfaced online on Saturday, July 25, 2026, the mother of Davido’s first child appeared visibly upset as she addressed critics and supporters who continue to bring up the singer’s name whenever she is mentioned.
Although she did not directly call out Davido, Sophia made it clear that her concern was with fans who repeatedly involve him in conversations about her, despite the fact that they have reportedly not communicated for several years.
She stressed that she has moved on and questioned why some people are still trying to reconnect their narratives.
“I haven’t been or seen or even spoken to this man in five years. Let it go. Nobody wants him. You know, apart from his offspring maybe, but he’s not needed or wanted here. Like, respect it and move on,” she stated during the live broadcast.
Sophia also reacted to followers who advised her to ignore online trolls, making it clear that she would not be controlled by anyone on social media.
“Even when you’re telling me don’t reply, don’t tell me what to do. All of you are irritating me,” she added.
The socialite further criticized the ongoing online exchanges between supporters of both sides, describing the constant social media disputes as unnecessary and draining.
She maintained that she wants no involvement in fan wars and would rather focus on her own life away from the repeated controversies surrounding her past with Davido.
