“Nothing Is Working For The Common Man”- Actor Laide Olabanji Slams Nigerian Government

Nollywood actor Laide Olabanji has expressed frustration over the economic hardship in Nigeria, accusing the government of making life increasingly difficult for ordinary citizens.

The actor, in a strongly worded statement, claimed that poor Nigerians have been left to bear the brunt of the country’s current economic challenges, insisting that “nothing is working for the common man.”

Olabanji also criticised Nigerians who continue to support the government and campaign with the slogan “4+4,” arguing that some of them are equally struggling despite their political allegiance.

He said some government supporters now resort to begging for a living but continue to defend the leaders they support.

In his words:

“The current Nigeria government has taken everything from the poor Nigerians, nothing is working for the common man. If they could take the fresh air too, they would have. Even their brainless supporters shouting 4+4 are suffering a lot, many of them beg for a living but still stand by their w!cked leaders”

His comments have sparked reactions online, with Nigerians sharing different views on the country’s economic situation and the continued political support for the government.
