Social media personality Kokopee has responded to those questioning why he chose to share a video of his encounter with Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, only now.
The controversy followed questions from some social media users who wondered why Kokopee did not post or make the video public when the meeting initially happened. Others also questioned his motive for releasing it at this point and what exactly he hoped to prove.
Reacting to the criticism, Kokopee appeared to mock those questioning his decision, saying the video was intended to address their concerns.
“This Is For Those Of You Saying That When I Met Mr P, Why Didn’t I Post Or Share The Video At That Time, And Why Am I Sharing It Now. Asking What I’m Trying To Prove. Now I Want To Prove That All Of You Are Stup!d,” he said.
Kokopee also addressed people who have expressed sympathy for Peter amid the ongoing controversy surrounding his family, particularly allegations involving his late brother, Jude Okoye.
He questioned what those expressing concern for the singer could practically do to assist him beyond voicing their emotions online.
“Also, All Of You Saying You’re Feeling Sorry For Peter, That He Was Defrauded By Jude, Now Tell Me How You Can Help Him Other Than Being Emotional Online,” Kokopee added.
His remarks have since drawn attention online, with his comments adding another layer to the ongoing conversations surrounding Peter Okoye, Jude Okoye and the issues that have continued to generate reactions from fans and social media users.
