NPFL: Ikorodu City coach commends players in draw against Doma United

Ikorodu City assistant coach, Washington Egor, believes that his team showed resilience in the 2-2 draw against Doma United.

Tomiwa Awojobi and Ujunwa Elijah netted for Ikorodu City, while Bitrus Philemon scored twice for Doma United at the Pantami stadium in Gombe on Saturday.

Egor said that the draw will serve as a big motivation for his team ahead of their next league fixture.

Ikorodu City will do battle with Inter Lagos in a derby clash at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan next Sunday.

“We suffered with the pain of travelling to enjoy the game here. Our intention was to pick the maximum points but a point is going for our pains.

“Travelling down for almost 24hrs and picking a point far back in the north is a big motivation for us ahead of our next game in Lagos.”
