The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has revised the commencement dates for its 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course in Enugu and Osun States.
In a statement issued on Monday by Caroline Embu, the director of information and public relations, the scheme said the adjustment affects only the two states due to ongoing renovation works at their permanent orientation camps.
According to the NYSC, the orientation exercise in Enugu and Osun will now begin on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and run until Monday, May 18, 2026.
The change represents a one-week shift from the original schedule.
“The orientation exercise for these two states will now commence on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and conclude on Monday, May 18, 2026,” the statement said, attributing the delay to “ongoing extensive renovations at the permanent orientation camps by the respective state governments.”
For corps members posted to the remaining 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory, the initial timetable remains unchanged.
Their orientation course will run from Wednesday, April 22, 2026, to Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
The NYSC urged all prospective corps members affected by the adjustment to adhere strictly to the revised dates, stressing that the changes are aimed at ensuring a more conducive environment for participants during the three-week orientation programme.
The scheme also extended goodwill messages to all deployed corps members, wishing them safe journeys to their various states of assignment across the country.
