NYSC to Blacklist Employers Who Fail to Provide Accommodation, Transport for Corps Members

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, has warned that employers who fail to provide accommodation and transportation for serving Corps members risk being blacklisted from accessing NYSC services.

Speaking during an interactive session with Corps members in Lokoja while on a working visit to Kogi State, Nafiu urged all Corps employers to improve the welfare of Corps members posted to their organisations.

He stressed that adequate welfare, including decent accommodation and transportation, is essential for ensuring a safe and productive service year.

The NYSC boss also charged Corps members to remain disciplined, dedicated to their duties, and avoid acts capable of tarnishing the image of the scheme.

According to him, Corps members are ambassadors of their families, their institutions of graduation, and the NYSC, urging them to uphold integrity and exemplary conduct throughout their service year.
