NYSC ‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌punishes 27 corps members in Osun

The NYSC also announces that 31 corps members absconded from service during the service year.

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has extended the service year of 27 corps members in Osun for various acts of indiscipline.

Mr Kubiangha also said that 31 corps members absconded from service during the service year.

According to him, a total of 1,969 corps members participated in the POP across the 30 Local Government Areas and the Area Office in the state.

He urged the outgoing corps members to leverage the knowledge, skills and experiences acquired during their service year as they begin the next phase of their lives.

Mr Kubiangha encouraged them to build on the entrepreneurial skills acquired through the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme to navigate the realities of the Nigerian economy.

He also urged them to remain disciplined, responsible and committed to making meaningful contributions to society.

“I want to stress that the completion of the service year should mark the beginning of greater opportunities, responsibilities and service to humanity.

“The need for the corps members to sustain the positive values acquired during their service year and apply the experiences and skills gained to their personal and professional development cannot be overemphasised,” he said.

The state coordinator thereafter embarked on a monitoring exercise in Boripe and Ifelodun Local Government Areas to encourage serving corps members in the zone.

Mr Kubiangha urged them to remain focused and make good use of the opportunities provided by the scheme.
He also encouraged them to maintain a strong spiritual life, reminding them of the transience of human existence and the importance of living purposeful, impactful lives.
