The wife of Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki, has revealed that her husband is fond of keeping old household items and rarely agrees to buy new ones.
In a video shared online, she described the actor as a legend when it comes to saving things, noting that some of the items in their home have been with them for more than 13 years.
According to her, Chinedu’s habit became evident from his days as a bachelor when he lived with his longtime acting partner, Osita Iheme, popularly known as PawPaw.
Speaking about her husband’s unusual saving habit, she said:
“My husband no dey gree buy new things for. Una legend, this man sabi save things. Some things in this house have been for over 13 years.”
She explained that before Chinedu and Osita moved out of their shared apartment as bachelors, they decided to divide their household belongings between themselves.
According to her, the items they shared included everyday essentials such as cooking utensils, furniture and other household items.
“Before him and Osi (PawPaw) were living together as bachelors, as they were about to move out, they started sharing. One took pot, another took chair, another bed, another kettle, another spoon, even table,” she added.
Her revelation has offered fans a glimpse into the actor’s personality away from the movie industry, particularly his attitude towards keeping things instead of constantly replacing them.
Chinedu Ikedieze and Osita Iheme became widely recognised for their memorable partnership in Nollywood movies, earning them the popular nicknames Aki and PawPaw.
The actress’s account has also highlighted how some of the actor’s old household possessions have remained useful enough for him to keep them for years.
