Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, has been sworn-in as the new President of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA.
The immediate past NBA President, Afam Osigwe administered the oath of office on Badejo-Okusanya.
The event took place in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Friday.
In his farewell remarks, Osigwe formally handed over to Badejo-Okusanya, presenting her with a handover note.
Addressing his successor, Osigwe said, “This is your handover note. A more comprehensive one will be given to you later. I hereby now out.”
Badejo-Okusanya, who is the 33rd President of the NBA, takes over from Osigwe following the expiration of his tenure.
She attended her first NBA conference as a newly called lawyer in 2002.
