Oyo Police Launch Manhunt for Adelabu Relatives’ Kidnappers

The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, CP Abimbola Olugbega, has ordered officers to swing into action to identify the abductors of relatives of the immediate past Minister of Power, Mr Adebayo Adelabu, News.ng reports.

This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, in a phone interview with our reporter in Lagos on Wednesday.

News broke on Wednesday morning that unknown gunmen had abducted the ex-minister’s sister, Mrs Olaide Busayo Adegoke, along with her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, in Ibadan.

According to sources, the abduction occurred at 7:30 a.m. while the mother was on her way to drop her children off at school.

The family confirmed the abduction in a statement signed by Comrade Femi Awogboro, the media aide to Chief Adelabu.

According to the PPRO, all hands are on deck to secure the release of Mrs Adegoke and her two children.
