Reality TV star and actress Mercy Eke has opened up about undergoing a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), revealing that peer pressure influenced her decision to have the cosmetic procedure.
Speaking candidly, Mercy admitted that the trend surrounding BBL at the time made her feel compelled to go through with the surgery, despite being frightened by the process.
According to the former BBNaija winner, she kept her decision away from her mother because she knew she would have discouraged her from having the procedure.
“Peer pressure made me do a BBL at that time because it was trending.
“I was really scared; I didn’t tell my mom because I knew she would discourage me.
“You can’t sleep on your bum for 14 days, and you’ll cry for the first 3 days from the pa!n.”
Mercy’s revelation has reignited conversations about the growing popularity of cosmetic surgery, with many social media users discussing the pressure women face to conform to beauty standards.
While some sympathised with her honesty and the physical challenges she described, others argued that cosmetic procedures should never be influenced by trends or public opinion.
