A young Nigerian has called on the country’s news media to invite President Bola Tinubu for an interview to explain his plans to Nigerians ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Reacting to the frequent media appearances of NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi, the young man questioned why the President could not also sit down for interviews and directly address Nigerians.
He said, “Every day, Peter Obi comes out to tell Nigerians what he will do about insecurity, the economy and other issues. Does it mean Nigerian news media can’t invite President Tinubu for an interview so he can also tell Nigerians his plans and why they should vote for him in 2027?”
The comment has sparked reactions online, with some Nigerians questioning Tinubu’s willingness to engage directly with the media.
