Peter Obi has alleged that the Federal Government is making efforts to prevent him from contesting in the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking during a visit to Madonna University in Anambra State on Friday, June 26, Obi said, “Today, the Federal Government is doing everything possible to stop me from becoming a candidate in this 2027 election. I can tell you for a fact, they won’t win.”
His remarks came just hours after the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja vacated its earlier judgment directing the Independent National Electoral Commission to register the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) as a political party, a development that has intensified political discussions ahead of the 2027 general election.
