Former presidential candidate Peter Obi and Senator Seriake Dickson are currently participating in the National Convention of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Abuja.
The convention, which is expected to attract delegates from different parts of the country, is being held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Los Angeles Event Centre along Ahmadu Bello Way in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The gathering comes shortly after a strategic political meeting at the residence of former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, which was attended by Obi and Dickson.
Speculations have continued to grow over the possibility of Obi and Kwankwaso emerging as the NDC’s candidates for the 2027 general election.
The two former governors recently defected from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the NDC.
