The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has called for the immediate removal of Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila over allegations linking him to the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) scandal.
The opposition party questioned how a “non-existent” agency secured 2026 budget allocations, opened accounts at the CBN, and obtained approval for 314 staff positions. The NDC also cited allegations that Gbajabiamila demanded 48% of the agency’s take-off grant (N27.4 billion) and that Adeyemi paid N400 million through proxies for his appointment, with N200 million outstanding.
The party called for an independent investigation, witness protection for Adeyemi, and probes by EFCC, ICPC, and the Police. The Presidency maintains PFIPC does not exist and that Adeyemi forged documents.
