Zamfara State Governor, Dr. Dauda Lawal, joined the entourage of Vice President Kashim Shettima at the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, United States
Governor Lawal was present as world leaders, including United States President Donald Trump, addressed the global gathering on issues bordering on international relations, economic development and investment opportunities.
The Governor, who is in New York to engage global stakeholders on behalf of Zamfara, has been actively participating in activities at the Nigeria Corner and other high-level side events.
At the global forum, Lawal is showcasing Zamfara State’s investment potential, with particular emphasis on agriculture, solid minerals and opportunities across the natural resource value chain.
His participation at the UNGA reflects the Zamfara Government’s renewed effort to attract foreign direct investment and reposition the state as a viable economic partner in Nigeria, while seeking to strengthen investor confidence despite the security challenges that have affected the state in recent years.
