A United Kingdom court has delayed the case against Nigerian dancer and entertainer, Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, after he failed to enter a plea following the reported unavailability of the charge sheet.
Poco Lee was expected to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court on Tuesday, September 15, for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
However, the proceedings could not go ahead because the charge sheet was reportedly unavailable.
The court consequently adjourned the plea and trial preparation hearing to February 8, 2027.
His trial has also been scheduled to begin on March 8, 2027.
Poco Lee was not in court on Tuesday and, as a result, did not formally indicate whether he would plead guilty or not guilty to the charges against him.
The development came days after the entertainer was granted bail following his first appearance before the court on September 11.
The case had drawn attention in Nigeria after reports emerged that Poco Lee was in the custody of UK authorities over allegations against him.
Following his first court appearance, reports circulated on social media claiming that he had been granted bail.
Some Nigerians reportedly attended Tuesday’s proceedings in support of the entertainer, with the court gallery said to have reached capacity while others waited outside.
Poco Lee, whose real name is Iweh Pascal Odinaka, rose to prominence through his dance performances and work as a hype man before venturing further into music and entertainment.
He became particularly popular for his Zanku and legwork dance performances and subsequently worked with several leading Nigerian artistes, including Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage and Naira Marley.
He has also released music and performed as an MC and dancer at various events.
