The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested a suspected serial thief and recovered a stolen vehicle and motorcycle in Ado-Ekiti.
The arrest followed a report filed on December 17, 2025, by a student of Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti at the Odo-Ado Divisional Police Headquarters, stating that his Bajaj motorcycle had been stolen from where it was parked on campus.
Acting swiftly on the complaint, police operatives launched an investigation which led to the arrest of the suspect, identified as Adediwura Babatubde, in Ondo Town, Ondo State.
During interrogation, the suspect reportedly confessed to the crime and further admitted to stealing a Toyota Camry “Big Daddy” vehicle from the same campus earlier in December 2025.
Both the stolen motorcycle and the vehicle were recovered from the suspect. The rightful owners have since been contacted and have reclaimed their properties.
The Commissioner of Police, Falade Adegoroye Michael, urged residents to remain vigilant and provide timely and credible information to security agencies. He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to tackling criminal activities and ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state.
