Protesters Confront Anambra APC Governorship Candidate Ukachukwu Over Alleged N1bn Debt At Abuja Hotel

Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Anambra State, was confronted by protesters over an alleged N1 billion debt at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja on Saturday night.

A video shared on Facebook by Amb Adichie Izuchukwu shows a group of individuals shouting at Ukachukwu, demanding: “Pay us our money! You owe us N1 billion!” The protesters claimed the funds were owed to them and were allegedly used in support of Ukachukwu’s governorship campaign.

The confrontation reportedly occurred as Ukachukwu was leaving the hotel with his wife. Efforts to reach his media team for comment were unsuccessful.

This is not the first time the APC candidate has faced public protest over financial disputes. In 2016, a similar incident occurred involving a man Chief Peter Nwadozie who reportedly stripped naked at Ukachukwu’s company over an alleged N34 million debt.
