American rapper Rick Ross has stirred an online debate with his candid views on modern relationships, suggesting that career-driven women in relationships with wealthy men may need to make significant sacrifices for love and availability.
In a recent clip that’s taken social media by storm, the “Maybach Music” mogul shared his unfiltered thoughts the issue. While acknowledging and encouraging women’s education and professional achievements, Ross argued that high-net-worth relationships often require a shift in priorities.

“As a wealthy man, we have to meet somewhere on even ground,” Ross stated. “Yes, you got your career as a woman and that’s cool, but I most likely be needing you in your inconvenient times in your life.”

He gave a pointed example involving demanding professions: “So when you tell me you are a nurse, surgeon and say oh I have a surgery tomorrow, f**k that surgery — the n*gga can wait ’cause I need you that moment.”
Ross further implied that many women eventually turn away from intense careers once they enter such relationships, embracing dependence on a financially secure partner. “Of course lady get your career, education, just to show you are capable,” he noted, “but when you get a rich n*gga, you are going to quit… I’m the career. Depend on me.”
