Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has shared a video of his conversation with a Moroccan businessman who said he plans to relocate to Nigeria in search of better business opportunities, a clip that has since sparked widespread reactions online.
The conversation took place outside Mohammed V Airport in Morocco, where the businessman expressed optimism about Nigeria’s business environment and said he hoped to establish himself in the country.
“I said the police are changed completely but I’m looking for better life, do some business in Nigeria, inshallah,” the businessman said.
When Omokri asked if he truly wanted to relocate to Nigeria, the man replied:
“Why not? I will be with our brothers.”
During the exchange, Omokri highlighted what he described as Nigeria’s economic potential, citing the country’s manufacturing sector and the impact of the Dangote Refinery. He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms, saying they had strengthened the nation’s economy and made Nigeria an attractive destination for investors.
“In Nigeria we have the second largest manufacturing base in Africa, $55 billion dollars. Only Egypt has more than us… So in Nigeria business is good. If you come with your capital, you do business in Nigeria, you will love it.”
