A residential building has been engulfed by fire along Church Road, around the Onu Asata area of Ogui Road in Enugu.
According to eyewitness reports, the fire reportedly started in one of the rooms before rapidly spreading to other parts of the building, raising fears of extensive damage.
As of the time of filing this report, it remains unclear whether anyone was trapped inside the building. Residents have expressed concern as the blaze continues to rage.
The Enugu State Fire Service had yet to arrive at the scene at the time of reporting, while efforts by residents to contain the fire appeared unsuccessful.
