Reality TV star and entrepreneur Mercy Eke has addressed long-standing rumours about her personal life, revealing that she has been in a committed relationship with one person for the past four years.
Speaking on Toke Moments with media personality Toke Makinwa, the BBNaija winner said one of the biggest misconceptions about her is the belief that a married man bankrolls her lavish lifestyle. Mercy explained that despite the public speculation, she has remained in the same relationship for years and laughed off recurring rumours that she is constantly pregnant.
“Coming out of the house now, I’ve been pushing myself, it’s not been easy, especially when people have perceptions about you.”
When asked about the biggest misconception people have about her, she replied:
“The one that everybody knows is, oh, someone is funding my lifestyle, that I’m dating a married man. Apart from being pregnant every week.”
Mercy then disclosed:
“I have been dating someone for four years. I’m still, mm-hmm, in that relationship.”
The reality star also revealed that marriage has been discussed with her partner and that she is willing to settle down. However, according to her, her boyfriend believes she is not yet ready for marriage.
“He keeps saying I’m not ready, I’m not ready. I don’t know what I’m doing that, that looks like I’m not ready.”
Mercy added that her current priority is starting a family.
“Right now, I want a baby. I have prayed, I have fasted.”
