Rite Foods Limited has been listed among Nigeria’s Top 50 Companies of Impact for 2026 at the Industry Newspaper Awards held in Lagos.
The annual award recognizes organizations making significant contributions to Nigeria’s economic and social development through innovation, sustainability, job creation, and community investment.
According to the organizers, Rite Foods was selected for its role in advancing the food and beverage industry through investments in modern manufacturing infrastructure, technology, product development, and sustainable business practices.
The company was also recognized for its contribution to local value creation, employment generation, environmental sustainability, and the growth of Nigeria’s fast-moving consumer goods sector.
Rite Foods produces a range of consumer brands including Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks, Bigi Premium Drinking Water, Sosa Fruit Drinks, Fearless Energy Drink, and its sausage products under the Rite and Bigi brands. The company said it continues to introduce new flavors and packaging formats to meet evolving consumer preferences while maintaining its focus on quality and product accessibility.
Goddie Ofose, Editor-in-Chief and Chief Executive Officer of Industry Newspaper, said the Top 50 Companies of Impact recognition is designed to celebrate organizations demonstrating tangible economic, social, and environmental value.
“Rite Foods distinguished itself through its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and community development,” Ofose said.
He highlighted the company’s environmental initiatives, including the Waste-Is-Naira programme and the Riteonthebeach project, which focus on plastic waste recovery and environmental awareness in coastal communities.
Ofose also noted the company’s energy strategy. He said 95 per cent of Rite Foods’ energy consumption is derived from cleaner sources such as natural gas and solar power, while diesel accounts for approximately five per cent. He added that the approach has helped reduce the company’s environmental footprint and improve operational efficiency.
He further commended Rite Foods’ corporate social responsibility efforts in education, healthcare, and economic empowerment across different communities in Nigeria.
Speaking on the recognition, Ekuma Eze, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Rite Foods Limited, said the award reflects the company’s commitment to creating value beyond its commercial operations.
“This honour reflects the impact we are creating across multiple areas, from innovation and human capital development to community engagement and sustainability,” Eze said.
He added that innovation remains central to Rite Foods’ strategy, with continued investments in product development and manufacturing capabilities aimed at responding to consumer needs and strengthening the company’s position in the competitive FMCG market.
“For us, innovation is about understanding consumers, investing in people and technology, and creating products and solutions that deliver value. This recognition reinforces our commitment to do more,” Eze added.
Rite Foods said the latest recognition adds to previous awards received for performance, leadership, and sustainability. The company reaffirmed its commitment to building a Nigerian business with global standards while investing in innovation, people, and communities.
