Nigerian media personality and OAP Roby Ekpo has shared deeply personal details about the breakdown of his 11-year marriage to fellow OAP Mayowa Lambe Ekpo.
Speaking on a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, the 48-year-old opened up about the struggles in their long-distance relationship.
According to him, the marriage began to crumble after he saw her wedding pictures online. He claimed he only recently became aware of a message his ex-wife allegedly sent, in which she expressed deep dissatisfaction.
In the message, she reportedly said love had not benefited her, adding that her husband was not taking care of her as expected, not satisfying her sexually, and not supportive of her spiritual growth or general well-being.

Ekpo also revealed a more painful discovery that his ex-wife had been on contraceptives throughout their marriage without his knowledge. He recounted how she once travelled to Miami, claiming it was for a medical procedure meant to help her conceive. He later believed the trip was actually for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).
“I am 48 years old, I don’t have a kid. I started going for sperm test despite being a Calabar man. I now got to find out that she was taking contraceptives. She traveled to Miami to do BBL after telling me she was going for surgery for something that would be able to make her conceive,” he stated.
The revelations have sparked widespread reactions online, especially following Mayowa’s recent remarriage in Texas. Ekpo wished her well, saying he has moved past the hardest part of the separation.
