A deeply emotional story has gone viral after a Nigerian woman shared her encounter with an elderly man who is reportedly living in heartbreaking conditions after being abandoned by his children.
According to the narration, the woman met the elderly man at a market where he was seen pushing a wheelbarrow and struggling to survive despite his age. Concerned by his condition, she approached him to ask why he was still working so hard at an advanced age instead of being cared for by his family.
The man allegedly opened up about his painful situation, revealing that he once had five children and a family home. However, after the passing of his wife, things reportedly took a tragic turn.
He claimed that his children and even a relative allegedly turned against him after a pastor reportedly labeled him as a “dangerous presence” in the family. According to him, he was accused of being responsible for his wife’s death and even feared to bring harm to other family members based on the alleged prophecy.
The elderly man further alleged that he was eventually chased out of his family home and left with nowhere to go. He now survives by working in the market and reportedly sleeps in his wheelbarrow after long days of labor.
The woman who shared the story said she was deeply moved and offered him some assistance, including food and money, describing him as grateful and emotional during their encounter.
