Six Escape Death in Ghastly Ado-Iworoko Expressway Crash

Six persons narrowly escaped death on Tuesday in a horrific road accident along the busy Ado-Iworoko Expressway involving two vehicles.

Eyewitnesses said the crash, which involved a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Camry, was triggered by overspeeding and loss of control by one of the drivers.

The impact was described as severe, with one of the vehicles reportedly flung across the road before crashing into an electric pole.

Sources revealed that occupants of the Camry were students of a tertiary institution, while those in the Corolla were university staff.

“It happened suddenly. One of the cars was on top speed and lost control. It rammed into another vehicle and veered off its lane before crashing,” an eyewitness recounted.
“Everyone was screaming and rushing to help before the police arrived.”

The scene was chaotic, with residents and passersby comparing the crash to a Nollywood movie.

Police officers responded swiftly, evacuating the victims from the wreckage.

All six occupants survived the crash, although some sustained injuries and were taken for medical treatment.

The incident has renewed concerns over reckless driving and excessive speeding along the Ado-Iworoko corridor, with residents calling for stricter enforcement of traffic regulations.
