Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on Monday reiterated his administration’s commitment to accountability, integrity, and excellent service delivery during the swearing-in of the second batch of commissioners into the State Executive Council.
The ceremony, held in Akure, marked what the governor described as “a significant milestone in the journey to building a greater state.” Aiyedatiwa emphasized that his administration prioritizes consistency and steady progress over haste, stating that “slow and steady wins the race.”
He urged the newly appointed commissioners to hit the ground running and deliver on the expectations of the people of Ondo State. “The people expect nothing but the best from us, having entrusted us with an overwhelming mandate. We must strive to deliver on all our electioneering promises,” he said.
Aiyedatiwa cautioned families and associates of the appointees against mounting undue pressure for personal or sectional interests, stressing that the administration remains focused on serving the entire state.
Highlighting the achievements within the first 100 days in office, the governor noted his government’s continuity in developing existing projects and the introduction of new initiatives aimed at revitalizing the state economy. He also pointed to proactive engagements with credible investors as yielding positive outcomes.
“Our administration is committed to integrity, transparency, accountability, and excellent service,” Aiyedatiwa declared. “We enjoin the new appointees to fully embrace these values in the drive to build a more prosperous Ondo State.”
Earlier, Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, described the appointments as a strategic move toward inclusive and people-focused governance. He praised Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership, saying the commissioners were carefully selected based on merit, competence, and loyalty.
Speaking on behalf of the new commissioners, Mr. Segun Omoyofunmi expressed gratitude to the governor for the opportunity and pledged that they would serve the state diligently and selflessly.
