A Nigerian man has recounted a near-robbery incident that occurred while he was travelling by road from Delta State to Lagos.
In a widely circulated X post, the man disclosed that armed robbers ambushed the bus during the journey.
Man Recounts Near-Robbery Incident
Identified as @EbukaTBH on X (formerly Twitter), he recounted that the robbers shot the driver in the arm and ordered passengers to alight from the bus, unload their bags and empty their pockets.
According to the X user, it was his first experience of having a gun pointed at him and he was already resigning himself to fate when gunshots rang out from a distance.
Eventually, it turned out to be the military, and the robbers fled the scene.
