Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has appreciated friends and well-wishers for the lavish souvenirs gifted to her grandson, Rakeem, ahead of his first birthday celebration.
The actress shared a video showing some of the gifts presented for the celebration, revealing that the “grannies” had gone all out to make the milestone memorable for her grandson.
Iyabo specifically acknowledged Obanla Lizzy, Shade Okoya, Lola Alao and two others for the thoughtful souvenirs, expressing gratitude for their generosity.
Sharing the video, she wrote, “The grannies aren’t holding back. On behalf of Rakeem, we say a big thank you for these beautiful souvenirs. God bless you”.
The appreciation comes hours after Priscilla Ojo also showed off some of the souvenirs prepared for her son’s big celebration. The gifts included school bags, scooters, baby oils and other items.
Rakeem recently turned one, and his parents, Priscilla Ojo and Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, marked the milestone by unveiling his face publicly and offering him a heartfelt prayer.
The couple also held a private animal-themed celebration at their Lagos home, attended by family members and close friends, including Iyabo Ojo, Layole Oyatogun, Enioluwa and Mercy Aigbe’s children, Michelle and Juwon.
A bigger celebration is expected to take place in Lagos as the family continues preparations to mark Rakeem’s first year.
