Pastor John Andreaz has argued that Nigeria’s security crisis goes beyond the administration of President Bola Tinubu, claiming that the forces behind the country’s insecurity are deeply entrenched and may be difficult for any single government to overcome.
Speaking on the state of the nation, Andreaz said while Tinubu, as Commander-in-Chief, has a role to play, the problem is much larger than one administration.
According to him, “the structure that is controlling the insecurity in this nation is beyond Tinubu,” adding that even a future government may struggle to address the challenge effectively.
The cleric called for international support, insisting that the network behind the violence is “too strong.” He likened the situation to a military minefield, saying, “Nigeria has been mined.”
He warned that drastic actions taken without caution could trigger widespread casualties, claiming that certain decisions could cause the nation to “explode” and result in deaths “more than the civil war.”
Andreaz therefore advocated foreign assistance in tackling the crisis and expressed appreciation for the presence of the United States in Nigeria. He said he hoped the country would fulfil what he described as its commitment to help address security concerns.
The pastor further alleged that the insecurity challenge is tied to what he called a long-term agenda to “take over the whole nation and Islamize Nigeria.” He clarified that this did not necessarily mean forcing all Nigerians to become Muslims, but rather placing governance and national structures under Islamic law.
He maintained that while crimes such as kidnapping and banditry occur in other countries, Nigeria’s situation should be viewed differently, alleging that such activities are being used as cover for a broader agenda.
He concluded by stating that he believes God frequently reveals information about Nigeria’s future to him as a prophet.
