“They Charged Me So Much For A Basic Install”- Sharon Adeleke Slams Hairstylist

Sharon Adeleke, the elder sister of Nigerian music star Davido, has expressed her displeasure with a hairstylist who arrived almost an hour late for a scheduled appointment, forcing her to do her hair herself.

The businesswoman made her frustration known in a video that surfaced on X on November 1, 2026, where she narrated how she had to wait for a hairstylist booked to arrive at 8:00 AM but did not show up until around 9:00 AM.

According to Sharon, she eventually got tired of waiting, brought out her hair products and styled her hair herself.

She also questioned the stylist’s decision to arrive late despite charging her a considerable amount for what she described as a basic installation.

Expressing her anger, Sharon criticised the stylist and the people around her, who reportedly responded with apologies instead of addressing the situation properly.

“The hair stylist that I booked for 8:00 shows up at 9:00, and thinks she’s doing my own hair. It’s because they’ve not met the new and improved me. I’m not putting up with anybody’s [expletive] anymore. They charged me so much for a basic install, and then you have the audacity to be late? I’m here talking to the girls that, come on, what if this was somebody’s wedding? And you know what these silly girls are telling me? ‘Oh, sorry, ma’.”

She further stressed that hairstylists and other service providers should understand the importance of respecting their customers’ time, especially when appointments have been scheduled in advance.

“It’s important that you learn to value your clients, and you learn to value your customers. Ah-ah, and you’re now calling me now so that I’ll now be late because of what? No, I’ll change the hairstyle. It’s not that deep; that’s why I’m a wig person, I’m a wig master!”

Meanwhile, this is not the first time Sharon has spoken about challenges with hairstylists.

She previously revealed that her experience with talented but frequently unavailable hairstylists inspired her to learn how to make wigs herself.

Her personal decision eventually led to the establishment of her wig business, Rona Wigs, which started as a solution to her own hair-related challenges before becoming a business venture.

Following the latest experience, Sharon disclosed that she plans to learn how to create other hairstyles rather than continue depending entirely on professionals.

“And the only thing now is all these other hairstyles that I want to learn; I’ll learn them,” she added.
