“THEY EVEN GREET KIDNAPPERS!” — FCT Police Boss Blasts Officers Over Shocking Checkpoint Behavior

The police boss did not hold back as he accused some officers of abandoning their duty, claiming they now focus more on greeting and collecting money from drivers than actually checking for criminals.

In a viral video, Sanusi revealed that some officers greet every single vehicle they stop without proper checks. According to him, this careless behavior has gone so far that officers unknowingly greet dangerous criminals, including kidnappers, armed robbers, and notorious “one chance” operators, while innocent victims may be sitting helplessly inside those same vehicles.

He described the situation as unacceptable and dangerous, warning that such actions could put lives at serious risk. The Commissioner also made it clear that he personally goes out at night with just his driver to monitor officers, stressing that any policeman caught extorting money or neglecting duty will face strict punishment.

This strong warning has now triggered serious reactions, as many Nigerians say they have experienced similar situations at checkpoints, where officers appear more interested in money than security.

What do you think about this? Are Nigerian checkpoints still protecting citizens or putting them at risk? Drop your opinion in the comment section. Share this with someone who needs to see this.
