A woman has recounted the distressing experience of returning to her home in Abia State to discover that thieves had allegedly broken in and made away with almost everything in the house.
According to the woman, the intruders stole her husband’s clothes, her clothes and her son’s clothes, as well as the child’s diapers and slippers.
She said the thieves also took their television, cushions, brooms and several other household items while leaving the property badly ransacked.
“The pain and shock of coming home to this is unimaginable. Thieves broke into our home and made away with almost everything we had. They stole my husband’s clothes, my clothes, my son’s clothes, and even took his diapers and slippers.
“They also stole our television, cushions, brooms and so many other things. They didn’t just steal from us; they destroyed so much in the process, leaving our home completely ransacked.”
The incident has sparked reactions online, with some Nigerians suggesting that the house may have been left unoccupied for an extended period.
