Tiago Ishola, popularly known as Oyinbo Ibile or Unique Tiago, is a Nigerian-Portuguese comedian, actor, and digital content creator who has carved a unique identity through his deep-rooted embrace of Yoruba culture.
Born in Portugal to Portuguese parents, Tiago’s early life was shaped by European influences. However, his cultural journey took a defining turn when he relocated to Nigeria at the age of 10 in 2010. His immersion into Yoruba tradition became even more profound when he was raised within the palace of the late Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, who adopted him and bestowed upon him the name “Ishola.”
Growing up in the historic town of Ibadan, Tiago completed both his secondary and tertiary education in Nigeria, further cementing his cultural identity as “Yoruba by upbringing.”
Leveraging his cross-cultural background, Tiago rose to prominence through comedic skits that blend humor with authentic Yoruba expressions, earning him a strong following across social media platforms.
In a significant career milestone, he has now transitioned into mainstream Nollywood, featuring in the second season of the Netflix series Aníkúlápó: A Ghoul Awakens, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Kunle Afolayan.
Tiago Ishola’s journey reflects a compelling narrative of identity, cultural adoption, and artistic evolution—positioning him as a standout figure in Nigeria’s entertainment landscape.
