Popular comedian Igoyan Baba has expressed frustration over the rising cost of living in Nigeria after revealing that he paid N21,600 to refill a 12kg cooking gas cylinder.
Reacting to the price, the comedian said the cost translates to N1,800 per kilogram of gas, describing the situation as evidence of the economic hardship Nigerians are currently facing.
In a video shared online, Igoyan Baba blamed the country’s worsening economic conditions on the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, arguing that many citizens are struggling to cope with the increasing prices of essential commodities.
“Tinubu has finished this country. Can you imagine how much I just bought a 12kg gas cylinder refill? Yet some people are still standing on a mandate. When we complain, they say we hate Tinubu. We’re talking about the hardship and suffering Nigerians are facing,” he said.
