Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has publicly celebrated Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, years after their highly publicised friendship fallout.
Dikeh shared a birthday tribute to Bobrisky on Instagram, describing him as “my brother,” “my anchor” and an “unwavering presence” in her life.
She recalled a time when she told him, “It’s time for war,” and he allegedly responded by asking, “How far are we going to fight?”
According to Dikeh, that level of solidarity made Bobrisky “the finest, most reliable man” she had known.
She also described him as “Bob my friend in whom I am Pleased,” while joking that the birthday gesture came with “a check of N2m only for his breakfast.”
She ended the post with: “Happy belated birthday bestie | love you.”
The message marks a public change in the relationship between the former friends, whose five-year friendship collapsed publicly several years ago.
Dikeh and Bobrisky were once known for their close friendship, regularly appearing together and referring to each other as besties. Their relationship became strained in 2021, when the two unfollowed each other on Instagram.
At the time, Bobrisky said their friendship ended after Dikeh saw a video of him spraying money on Lady Golfer, a former friend of the actress. He said Dikeh was unhappy that he had associated with someone who was no longer her friend.
Bobrisky initially said he would not disclose what happened between them, insisting that what friends shared privately should remain private. He later gave his account of the incident while maintaining that he still loved Dikeh.
The dispute later became more public, with Bobrisky accusing Dikeh of owing him N5m. In December 2021, he also shared private conversations between them while making further allegations about their friendship.
Dikeh later appeared to address the fallout indirectly, saying it was acceptable to “outgrow friendships” that no longer aligned with the person one was becoming.
Bobrisky subsequently expressed regret over the breakdown.
In a 2023 interview with Toke Makinwa, he said he missed Dikeh and described her as a sister who had supported him before he became famous.
He attributed their inability to sustain the friendship partly to both of them being impatient and hot-tempered.
The relationship appeared to enter a new phase in July 2024 when reports emerged that the former friends had followed each other again on Instagram, prompting speculation that they had reconciled.
Bobrisky later described Dikeh as “my everything” when a follower questioned the status of their friendship.
The renewed relationship continued publicly into 2025, when Bobrisky celebrated Dikeh’s 40th birthday. Dikeh responded to his message with, “Aww, thank you, Bobbi. Amen, Amen, Amen.”
