Barcelona have entered the race to sign Rodri from Manchester City, according to AS.
Rodri, who won this year’s World Cup with Spain, appeared set to join Real Madrid this summer.
But Barca have now registered their interest and could hijack their rivals’ bid to sign the midfielder.
It is now down to Rodri to decide which of the two LaLiga clubs he will play for next season.
Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, wrote on X: “Barcelona have made contact with Rodri’s camp and also with Manchester City about possible move.
“Real Madrid have been in talks with City for weeks but #MCFC didn’t accept to proceed immediately as he felt more clubs were joining the race.
“Its up to the player,” he said.
