Chelsea captain, Reece James, has admitted that he was devastated when his teammate, Marc Cucurella left Stamford Bridge to join Real Madrid this summer.
Cucurella recently left Chelsea after four years at the Premier League west London club to join Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid.
Speaking to talkSPORT from England’s World Cup training base in Kansas City, James said, “Yeah, I spoke with him a few days ago.
“You know, he’s obviously an amazing player, one of the best left-backs in the world, for sure.
“This is football. Players move every few months, and I am devastated to see him go. But I wish him all the best.”
