Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI, have arrested two suspected suppliers of logistics to Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists and recovered a large consignment of motorcycle spare parts in Yobe State.
The operation, conducted on Tuesday, September 8, followed credible human intelligence on the movement of logistics supplies allegedly destined for terrorist elements operating within the Yunusari-Mobbar general area.

According to a statement issued by the Acting Military Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI, Captain Mohammed Goni, troops of 159 Battalion under Sector 2 OPHK, in collaboration with other security elements, mobilised a fighting patrol following the intelligence.
The troops subsequently intercepted the suspected logistics consignment at Gumsa Bridge in Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State.
Two suspects alleged to be involved in supplying logistics to terrorist groups were arrested during the operation, while a large quantity of motorcycle spare parts and other items were recovered.
Among the recovered items were large quantities of motorcycle tyres, crankshafts, oil seals, traffic indicators, acceleration and clutch cables, bearings, brake components, gaskets, piston kits, chains and sprockets.
The troops also recovered speedometers, clutch plates, rocker arms, CDI units, coils, rectifiers, fuel-related components and other motorcycle spare parts.
In addition, 145 pairs of footwear and two Tecno Android mobile phones were recovered from the suspects.
The military said the recovered items were allegedly intended to provide logistical support to Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists operating in the Yunusari-Mobbar axis.
The suspects and recovered items have since been handed over to the 27 Military Intelligence Regiment for further investigation and necessary action.
The task force described the interception as another significant effort to disrupt terrorist logistics networks and deny insurgent groups access to critical supplies needed to sustain their operations.
It said the operation underscored the importance of timely and credible intelligence in identifying and disrupting the movement of materials suspected to be supporting terrorist activities across the North-East.
The Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI, reaffirmed its commitment to dismantling terrorist support networks and degrading the operational capabilities of insurgent groups across the theatre.
The military also urged members of the public to continue providing credible and timely information to security agencies to support ongoing counter-terrorism operations.
