- Both the White House and Tehran officials have said that the United States and Iran have reached an agreement on a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to extend the ceasefire for 60 days, but US President Donald Trump has yet to give his approval
- The death toll in Lebanon from Israeli attacks seems unstoppable, with at least 20 people killed on Thursday, including a woman and two children in Beirut’s southern suburbs. More than 3,000 people have been killed by Israel since 2 March
- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has given orders for his troops to seize at least 70 per cent of Gaza, brazenly violating a so-called ceasefire, as well as a day after an Israeli attack on Gaza City killed 10 people, including children. More than 900 people have been killed since October 2025, when the ceasefire supposedly came into effect
