Former Minister of Special Duties and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairmanship aspirant, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, has successfully submitted his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to contest for the position of National Chairman of the party.
The PDP has scheduled its Elective National Convention for November 15 and 16, 2025, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Turaki, who is said to have secured the backing of a majority of party stakeholders as a consensus candidate, submitted his forms on Monday at the National Convention Organising Committee (NCOC) Secretariat, Legacy House, Shehu Shagari Way, Maitama, Abuja.
He arrived at the secretariat in the company of friends and political associates.
However, another aspirant and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alhaji Sule Lamido, who also intends to vie for the position, was unable to purchase his nomination forms earlier in the day.
Lamido had stormed the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja, but claimed there were no officials available to attend to him. Expressing his frustration, he told journalists that he may seek legal redress if he continues to be denied access to the process.
