Unubiko Foundation Pledges N100m To Support Abia Talent Discovery Initiative

The Unubiko Foundation has pledged N100m to support the Rising Gem Talent Discovery Show, organised by the wife of Abia State Governor, Mrs Priscilla Otti, through her Safe Tent Initiative, to discover and nurture young talents in the state.

The foundation’s Chairman and publisher of THE WHISTLER newspaper, Chief Chijioke James Ume, made the pledge on Friday while serving as chairman of the occasion at the grand finale of the talent discovery show.

Ume commended Mrs Otti for creating opportunities to identify, develop and nurture young talents in Abia State.

He said the initiative reflected a commitment to finding gifted young people and equipping them with the skills and support needed to compete at international standards.

“I have identified that this is what the First Lady is trying to do: identify young talents from Abia State and groom them to international standards,” he said.

He expressed confidence that Mrs Otti would sustain the initiative and achieve its objectives, noting that the participating youths now had an opportunity to develop their abilities and pursue their aspirations.

Ume said the Unubiko Foundation shared a similar commitment to empowering people, particularly those from underserved communities in the state.

“At the Unubiko Foundation, we believe in raising people, particularly from Abia State and from forgotten communities.

“We raise them, we give them hope, and we are going to partner with Her Excellency to ensure that these young people see not just hope, but attain their highest desires and dreams in life,” he said.

The foundation chairman said he would work with Mrs Otti to ensure that the beneficiaries received the support they needed to develop their talents and realise their potential.

He also appealed to guests at the event to contribute generously towards sustaining the initiative, describing support for young talents as an investment in their future.

Ume urged attendees to enjoy the performances at the grand finale and to back the organisers’ efforts to provide a platform for emerging talents in Abia State.

The N100m pledge underscores the Unubiko Foundation’s commitment to partnering with the Safe Tent Initiative to discover and nurture young talents in the state.
